I am a programmer with 10+ years of practical programming experience, albeit mostly with assembly language, but also Python, C, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, SQL, and more. My body of work ranges from writing an actively used Point-Of-Sale system with web interface, to parsers and compilers, and even some minor hardware driver software.

Skills

  • I can program in over a dozen programming and scripting languages, including C, Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, (e)Z80/M68k/ARM assembly languages, Oracle PL/SQL, PL/pgSQL, Hyperion SQR, and to a lesser extent, Rust, Java, x86/x64 Assembly, and I'm well versed in a smattering of niche languages. I am skilled at learning new programming languages.
  • I use SQL often, both personally and professionally. In particular, I use SQLite, Postgres, and Oracle (professionally).
  • I am reasonably experienced in web design, having opted to use a web interface for the Point-of-Sale system at The Rogue Carrot. This system has been actively in use and expanded since January 2018.
  • My extensive experience with assembly programming has honed my debugging skills.
  • I am experienced with Linux and Windows operating systems.

Work Experience

2017-Present Freelance Programmer, currently all web design (backend and frontend).
March 2020-Present Programmer/Analyst, working as a programmer at Alfred State College on Ellucian Banner software with my functional area being Financial Aid.
March 2017 to March 2020 The Rogue Carrot store clerk and programmer.
June 2013- March 2017 Dollar General as a “key holder”. I supervised and trained store clerks, opened/closed the store, and handled daily deposits.
2012-2013 AVI Food Systems, as a kitchen helper.
2010-2012 Alfred University Phonathon as a caller.
2009-2010 “Explainer” at The Corning Museum of Glass. Similar to a docent with extra responsibilities.
